Pesticides and household cleaners can cause serious problems even death if mishandled. A person should always read the label and be very careful. The following classifications and their meaning should be taken seriously and literally.
DANGER-POISON means highly poisonous.
DANGER means poisonous or corrosive.
WARNING means moderately hazardous.
CAUTION means least hazardous.
These are U.S. EPA definitions but generally on stuff like this, the U.S. is in line with other countries’ labeling. Just a note of caution.

A special thank you to Caroline McIntosh for her book, “Love’s Gift To You Feels So-o-o Good!”

I added more jokes to the jokes pages. One or two are even funny <lol>.

The Sep 2005 issue of Energy Times had a good article titled: Caring For Caregivers. This magazine deals with health and health issues and not oil, gas, coal, etc. To make a long story short, I called their editorial office and told them about the S2S manual. It supposedly will be mentioned in their next edition. Their web address is:
http://www.energytimes.com
This is NOT a recommend to subscribe or even read the magazine. I mention it because sometimes getting publicity is as easy as picking up the phone. The magazine retains the right not to say a word about the manual but at least I have it on their desk.
I can’t wait to see the next issue.

I read an interesting little article about pollution and pediatric illness. It appears some folks believe there is a direct link. To date, no hard core scientific data exists to prove this theory but what if it is true? Will the same apply to seniors?
If you have any info regarding pollution and its effects on seniors send me the links and I’ll look them over.

Capsaicin, the stuff making chile peppers hot, is being studied to see if it can be used as an effective remedy, when taken internally, for arthritis, psoriasis and diabetic neuropathy.
Lovers of spicy foods would probably all loudly chorus, of course it does. However, the folks who study these things haven’t come to a consensus. While I’m not a spicy kind of guy, prove it works and I’ll switch.
More as I learn more.

2. Article
Today’s article really isn’t an article. It is a web site:
http://www.mymoney.gov/
If you already have a good money management program in place, this web site may be too elementary. I ordered their free “My Money” Tool Kit. In fact, I ordered three so I could give one each to the Senior Center in both Reno and Sparks.
They have a toll free order number if you don’t want to order online.
My thinking says if I pick up even only one hint that helps me, I’m ahead of the game. And the price is right. Free always excites me and if I think the material is worth a hoot I not only will order it but tell my friends. So, dear friend, you’ve been told.
Until next issue,
Tom Koziol
