This came from Dr. Jon. I tried it and discovered he is right. Give it a go and let me know how you did.

While sitting, rotate your right foot in counter clockwise circles. While doing so draw a clockwise circle in the air with your right hand. Your foot will crash!

Beginning this issue I will define two terms I believe are relevant to what we seniors call our life’s affairs.
(1) Estate – The total of any property and assets you own minus any liabilities such as loans or debts, at the time of your death.
(2) Executor – A person or institution, such as a law firm, named in a will as being responsible for managing the deceased’s estate.
I won’t bore you to tears with terms. I found 12 which, in my opinion, are worth reviewing. So, the next five issues will have two terms each.

The subscription to this newsletter increased by 1/3rd since the last issue and part of it is because Joe Robson (thank you Joe) mentioned us in his Newbieclub Newsletter and some free advertising I jumped all over.
As a way of saying thank you to everyone, old and new, I have decided to give two Proud 2-B-A Senior© ribbons to everyone who orders one. In fact, if you order two, you’ll get four, three you get six, four you get eight, etc.
Basically, I’m cutting the price in half which is easy to figure when you get two and only pay for one. That way, if you are like me and have only one friend, you can give him/her a ribbon. After all, what are friends for, right?
When you go to the order page, please only enter the number you want as that is all you will pay for. I will automatically increase your order by the same amount. So if you want two, enter two. When they arrive, there will not be two but four. 2 for 1 means just that. The additional magnets are lagniappe, i.e., my way of saying thank you.
Simply click on the link in the masthead and bingo! you are there. Please remember to give me your name and snail mail shipping address. Thank you.

2. Article
Introduction to today’s article: I do not know if this story is true just as its author does not know (see her note after the article). I am hoping one of you beautiful people has the straight scoop on the contents. Should you know, please write and I will publish what you tell me in the next issue. My wife believes it has validity but does not have proof so she too wants to hear from you.
Having said all that, here’s today’s article.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE - A true story
Susie is recouping at an incredible pace for someone with a massive stroke all because Sherry saw Susie stumble - - that is the key that isn't mentioned below -and then she asked Susie the 3 questions. So simple -- this literally saved Susie's life - - Some angel sent it to Suzie's friend and they did just what it said to do. Suzie failed all three so then 9-1-1 was called. Even though she had normal blood pressure readings and did not appear to be having a stroke as she could converse to some extent with the Paramedics who then took her to the hospital right away. Thank God for the sense to remember the "3"steps. Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
1. Ask the individual to SMILE.
2. Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
3. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently, i.e., "It is sunny out today"). If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions. They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people, you can bet that at least one life will be saved. BE A FRIEND AND SHARE THIS ARTICLE WITH AS MANY FRIENDS AS POSSIBLE, you could save their lives.
Note from Katie: I have not been able to double check and verify this health article, yet, but I thought it was valuable information if it is true. You will want to check with a health care professional to see if this health tip is accurate... I felt that if it is accurate it was something everyone should know about.
Until next issue,
Tom Koziol
