A quick favor to ask – Please white list this newsletter’s address. All you do is place our address –look in the from line – into your email address book. Earthlink allows me to add an address simply by clicking on their “add to address book” link. Hopefully yours does the same. I ask because AOL and Yahoo are instituting new anti-spam policies. I don’t want to be designated a spammer by default, i.e. they change their policy and bingo! a requested newsletter immediately transforms into spam. Thank you!

I wonder if there is such a thing as regression birthdays. Since I turned 61 on Feb 12th, I’ve been searching the Net to see if anyone has perfected a “de-aging” system. <g>

Black’s Law Dictionary, 6th Edition, defines a bourse as an exchange, a stock exchange. Iran has announced they will open an Oil Bourse in March 2006 to trade oil. The denominating currency will be the euro.

If you already are using the euro, no big deal. If you are using the dollar or some other currency, your standard of living may change.

I bring this to your attention for several reasons. One, the USD has been the world’s trade currency for what seems like forever. If Iran is successful, this will change. Two, you could make some money by using a hedging strategy provided you understand the technique and have the stomach to risk a few bucks. Three, if you are a US citizen, your standard of living will begin to change.

This newsletter isn’t an investment newsletter nor is it an economic advisory. However, when an event of this magnitude phoenixes out of seemingly nowhere, I will write about it. You see, none of us live in a democracy, we live in a petrocracy.

I offer the price at the gas pump and Exxon’s profit of $36 BILLION in 2005 and so far this year, $12 BILLION, as partial proof. And, with a petrocracy, the unit of exchange will always be energy. To date, energy has been denominated in oil.

Think about it and do what you will with the info.

I can not remember where I read:

“The only way to have the life of your dreams is to create it.”

but I liked it enough to pass it along.

http://www.smallstep.gov has some excellent information. Although it is a U.S. Government site (mostly), the info is applicable world wide. Best of all, it is free.

I had to add joke page #4. There are just too many jokes that are funny, funny, funny not to include them for everybody to read.

If you don’t know about the S2S ad page, here are the details. You must be a subscriber to Senior Moment© in order to post an ad. The price is $2 per month or $20 per year. You can check out the ad page by visiting: http://www.senior2senior.org/ad.html

Since I have several off-line small businesses up and running, each providing a tiny (at the moment) income stream, I am considering posting the how to manuals on a separate page. All Senior Moment© subscribers will be able to enjoy a deep discount from the regular retail price.

These same manuals will be sold from another web site at much higher prices. I will only post manuals on businesses I have personally worked or manuals by people who I know made money from the business that is the subject of their manual.

I tell you this because I am still in the thinking stage and would like to hear your ideas, opinions, suggestions or anything else you care to tell me. For example, our radio show is doable no matter where you live but you have to know how to do it.

This is the kind of material of which I speak. Thank you in advance for your input.

2.  Article

The following story is a reprint from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and, after you read it, no matter where you live, you’ll say, “We have just as stupid criminals.”

Police say a man tried to rob a pharmacy in Neillsville, Wisconsin, using the time honored ruse of pretending his finger was a gun. Except the man, wearing a mask, didn’t feel the need to hide the fake gun in his pocket – he held his finger up to pharmacist Bill Weiler.

“I kind of chuckled, “ Weiler said, asking, “This is a robbery?”

The man then “pushed me and said, ‘Yeah, this is a robbery’.” He wrestled with the man and, in the scuffle, pulled off his mask. He recognized the robber as Joel D. Peterson, 30, who had earlier allegedly tried to fill forged prescriptions.

Weiler knew they were forged because there’s no such thing as “Smart Pills”.

Until next issue,

Tom Koziol
