I received this obituary...
in an email from a friend. I don't know if the London Times actually printed it or not but it sure makes sense to me.

subj: An Obituary printed in the London Times...
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and, maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers: I Know My Rights I Want It Now Someone Else Is To Blame I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

If you live in the US...
and want a real live, no BS work from home job, let me know. I have become part of the sales team for an interesting online community that relies on offline sales people.
You will have to work and you will have to talk to small business owners. You WON'T have to put up any money and you WON'T have to buy anything month after month.
Please send me an email at: sandalwood@reno.com with ADVERTISING as the subject. DON'T reply to this NL as I won't reply back. Use the address I just listed and use that particular subject. I get a ton of spam so I no longer take the time to sort out the real emails from the junk. I bet you can understand my rationale.
Do you understand...
your lab test results? If not, this site:
http://www.labtestsonline.org
may be the place to help you. The American Association for Clinical Chemistry is behind this user-friendly site. It explains why each test is ordered, how it's done and what the results mean.
On top of that, it provides capsule descriptions for a number of medical conditions along with age-specific screening protocols. It can't get much better than that, right?
If you think the information...
in this newsletter is helpful, please tell a friend. I'm not looking to have the largest online newsletter subscription base, I'm looking to help people get as much info and knowledge as possible as relates to their daily lives. The only way I can do that is with your help.
Did you know...
Dr. Will Tuttle, PhD, says the following ailments have been linked to milk:
eczema, asthma, ear infections, sinus infections, diarrhea, anemia, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disease, multiple sclerosis, bronchitis, arthritis, leukemia, dental decay, arteriosclerosis and obesity.
Tuttle is the author of "The World Peace Diet" published by Lantern Books. If you read his book, you'll notice an interesting piece of information.
He says twenty people eating potatoes, cabbage or corn can be fed from 2.5 acres of land but the same plot can feed only two people who eat dairy products or chicken.
You can make what you will of that statistic but it tells me 10 times more plant material must be grown to produce dairy products. I'm not saying dairy products are bad for you. Not be a long shot. I love chicken and milk on my cereal.
What I don't like is the fact that cow's milk contains about 78 drugs not screened by the FDA in addition to agricultural pesticides and high levels of saturated fat and cholesterol. This is according to an article in the October 2008 edition of Energy Times magazine.
Here's another eye opener. Researchers at the University of Helsinki found that the risk of type I diabetes was doubled in children introduced to dairy products before they were two months old. Their findings were published in Diabetes magazine in December 1993.
This makes sense as cow's milk is replete with toxins, bovine drugs, bacteria, viruses, hormones, forced feeding and genetic engineering. Isn't it ironic the FDA warns nursing mothers not to take drugs while nursing so as to prevent infants from consuming contaminated mother's milk but doesn't say a word about the veterinary drugs in cow's milk?
If you don't live in the United States, the above info may or may not be relative. I am of the opinion it is relative because the industry isn't isolated to the United States. The dairy business is big in almost all countries world wide. You may wish to examine your local dairy production and see if any of the above mentioned, I call them disasters, are in your milk supply.
The US election is...
only a few days away so this seems rather fitting.

Five surgeons from big cities are discussing which profession makes the best patient to operate on. The first surgeon, from New York , says, "I like to see accountants on my operating, table because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered." The second surgeon from Chicago responds, "Yeah, but you, should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded." The third surgeon, from Dallas, says, "No I don't agree, I really think librarians are the best, everything inside them is in alphabetical order". The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in: "You know, I like construction workers and mechanics... Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over." But the fifth surgeon, from Washington, DC shuts them all up when he observed: "You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains and no spine, and the head and the ass are interchangeable".

Hope you enjoyed that little ditty as it says so much.
Until next issue,
