I was reading several news sources all of which had the same story line about real estate. Foreclosures and inventory (owned homes not selling) were up and new sales down. Nevada was one of the states, if not the leading state, with a high foreclosure rate.

If you are the owner of an adjustable rate or interest only mortgage, NOW may be the time to look at the conversion clause. This is the clause that allows you to switch to a fixed rate. I don't have a crystal ball, but if this trend is like past real estate trends, you could be caught between the dog and fire plug if you don't at least consider your options.

Seniors who are 62+ may want to take a gander at reverse mortgages. They may, or may not, be an answer whose time has come becasue they are a viable option.

Free Wheel Chairs - Maybe so, maybe not

I don't know about anywhere else in the world, but in the U.S. of A. free wheel chair ads abound at all hours on the boob tube. I came across this site, put up by the University of Missouri Extension Branch, that seems to be a warning to those who believe free really means free.
