Thank you to everyone who has subscribed since Jan 15th. The response has been tremendous.
We are a subscriber oriented publication. This means we accept your topical articles, want your feedback, critique and suggestions.
I try to make this NL as immediately useable as possible. Feel free to join with me in keeping it that way.
A reminder: If I mention a site or opportunity in this NL it is because I have visited that site and found it to be exactly what it was advertised to be. For example, in the third paragraph of today’s issue, I mention a site many of you joined.
Dr Jon is still in the building/cleaning it up mode and once he finishes, everyone who joined will enjoy a ton of exposure. He does not charge membership fees nor will he ever try to hook you into an upgrade or any other kind of upsell. I like that and many of you do too. Besides, he is a cat person and we have 6 of the furry monsters.
On that note, I will again say thank you to everyone for becoming part of the family.

Speaking of Dr. Jon, let me extract four home remedies from his latest newsletter. He swears they work.
CANKER SORES
Apply a wet, black tea bag to the ulcer. Black tea contains tannin, an astringent that may surprise you with its ability to relieve pain.
HICCUPS
Swallow a teaspoon of sugar dry. It works! (his emphasis)
LEG CRAMPS
Grab your upper lip between your thumb and index finger and squeeze for about 30 seconds. (He says he learned this trick from a Chinese colleague who practices acupressure.)
NOSEBLEEDS
Before you try to stop it, blow your nose hard. This will remove any clots which are keeping the blood vessel open. Get the clot out and the elastic fibers surrounding the vessel will contract around the tiny opening.
Note: Always consult a competent medical professional before attempting any treatment.

As you open your pockets for yet another natural disaster, keep these facts in mind:
Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO, of the American Red Cross received at year ending 6-30-03 a salary of $651,957 plus expenses.
Brian Gallagher, President of United Way, receives a base salary of $375000 plus numerous expense benefits.
The Salvation Army’s Commissioner, Todd Bassett, receives a salary of $13000 per year plus housing for managing this $2 billion organization.
End ---
I don’t know if the above numbers are relevant to anything but there is an implication or two. Decide for yourself…

2. Article
I got a call from a woman today who was concerned about osteoporosis, and I realized just how much confusion exists on this subject.
Osteoporosis is not particular about which sex and men can suffer as acutely as women.
I need to give some information before I can suggest prevention and/or cure.
Your body is designed to work on a neutral ph balance. Ph means acid/alkaline balance. Too much or too little acid is almost equally dangerous. Mainline medicine still has not, in general, brought this idea into play.
If you are very acidic, your liver tries to take out all it can (that is too much) and discard it through your bladder. But it is too much of a job for your busy and super important liver to handle alone. Calcium and other minerals are acid buffers. (This means that they bring the acid level down to a more acceptable level.)
So, your body searches for these minerals and finds them in your bones and teeth. It steals them from your bones because you literally cannot live without this balance.
If you feel exhausted, painful in your joints, stiff when you get up in the morning, the probabilities are that you are too acidic. This is not only painful and uncomfortable, but is heading you toward your own early demise.
So, how do can you tell?
You can buy testing strips or sheets in almost any health food store. I believe Walmart even has them, for around six dollars. Your ph should be close to seven, which is neutral. If is too acid, then you know what you have to do.
Your daily diet helps and added help comes from ordinary baking soda, at ½ teaspoon in a glass of water. Using this will give you comforting digestive relief at once.
Go on line or have a friend do it for you, and get a list of acid/alkaline forming foods. Try to eat more alkaline formers and much less acid formers. This involves thinking about what you eat, but is much better than a broken hip!
Avoid sugar as that is prime acid forming stuff! Soft drink carbonation increases your acid balance.
YOU CANNOT AVOID OR CORRECT OSTEOPOROSIS WITH AN OVER ACID BODY!
With women, estrogen is part of the cause, or rather, lack of estrogen. Go to: http://www.Dr.Lark.com ; and learn about estrogen and osteoporosis. This part is easy to correct, and I don’t have room here to do it justice.
Vitamin D is a vital part of correcting this problem. Your body cannot use calcium without it. For a natural way to get vitamin D, get at least 15 minutes a day of sunshine without sunscreen daily. Add Co-Q-10 with L-carnitine fumarate daily to protect you against sunburn, support your heart and support energy at the cell level.
Your multiple vitamin does not contain enough vitamin D. I take 50,000 units twice a month from a prescription, on top of the 400 I take daily. At that rate, it is necesary to be overseen by a doctor. But at least, double the 400 mgs.
Be sure and take calcium (ascorbate is a good form) with boron, magnesium and trace minerals. You also need zinc and a small amount of copper to go with the zinc, as zinc binds copper and discards it. This is am added bonus to your eyesight.
Add a good B-complex vitamin to this regimen.
Exercise is the last, but not the least thing I will mention. Walk. Do not join the gym immediately or take up running. Walk. Do some weight training after you have walked for a period of time. Aim for three miles twice or three times a week. Work up to it.
Start weight training gently and then work up. Search for weight training on the computer and you will find many good programs to follow. Your impulse will be to do too much too fast. Don’t.
Moderation in all things is a good idea.
1. Reduce acid or increase it according to the result of your acid/alkaline test strip results.
2. Check out and correct your hormone balance with natural or bio-exact hormones… not horse serum. (Read Dr. Lark)
3. Add vitamin D and other listed items to your daily life plan.
4. Exercise.
Good luck and good health!
