If you remember...
I mentioned in the last issue I was having problems with my computer freezing on me. The error message I received every single time was: iexplore.exe hungapp. I am still having the same problem but want to thank everyone who wrote me with advice.
Unfortunately, I am now forced to spend some hard earned retired dollars to getting the problem fixed. I searched the Internet high and low as well. Gosh, I can't believe some of the junk people recommend as fixes.
A lot of it was thinly disguised sales copy to buy this or that program. I guess the hucksters have found a wide open haven on this thing called the Internet.
I was hoping to be able to publish a "fix" for this problem other than take your computer to the local computer shop and spend $XXX to get it resolved.
This is only for...
those of living in the U.S. If you can not afford the high priced major medical insurance programs on the market, I may have a solution. Our office has a website at:
http://www.aisreno.com
It isn't fully complete but we do have a link to a medical policy (it isn't major medical insurance) that will cover the basics of what most people need. It isn't for everyone especially if you are covered by Medicare, the VA or have other coverage.
However, it does fill a need ad I thought I'd mention it as the premium starts at only $75.50 per month. Also, if you want a free discount prescription drug card, please email your name and birthdate to: foreclosure@reno.com. I will scan your card into our office computer and email it to you at the address you use to request the card.
This free card is accepted at all leading big time drug stores and pharmacies. In fact, if you visit the above website, you can print out your own and won't even have to email me. But, if you want me to do it, please make the subject: Drug Card.
Another tip for us U.S. residents...
which could mean the difference between keeping your job and losing it. If you work for a company with 15 or more employees and you become physically or mentally impaired limiting a major life function but can still perform your work duties, you cannot be fired.
The Americans With Disabilities Act is your saving grace. Because laws get changed and scrunched in court cases, it is wise to talk to competent counsel should you find yourself in this situation.
Let's close with...
olive oil. I love the stuff personally. In fact, fry up some garlic in olive oil and put the garlic on french or sour dough bread and I will feast on a garlic sandwich. Olive oil is reputed to lower blood pressure and increase the health of your heart.
And don't forget, fish, whole grains, fruits, legumes and vegetables don't hurt either. They all contribute to your health and well being.
Until next issue,
Tom Koziol
