That is NOT an affiliate link. I have picked up an additional twenty bucks for nit noy postings. You won't retire on what you might make from this forum but you stand a great chance of making some money.
Sometimes we forget...
that the U.S. Government has a ton of consumer oriented information. In particular, go to the consumer section at:

The sun produces...
ultraviolet rays, both A and B. This isn't a discussion about them per se. Rather, it is a broad general statement - both are considered bad by scientists. It seems they produce harmful free radicals in the skin. They attack the collagen (protein giving skin its shape) as well as leading to wrinkling, signs of aging and cancer.
While no one guarantees lutein is the end all be all to fix the problems caused by A and B, it is gaining much respect for its powers. It is a plant chemical that protects both eyes and skin against sun damage.
It can be found in egg yolks, fruits, corn and leafy green vegetables such as spinach. The scientists at the CDC found in a study that lutein may also reduce the lousy cholesterol in your body. It seems the incidence of LDL was 80% less in people with high lutein count.
As with all supposedly helpful chemicals and nutrients mentioned in this NL, always discuss use of such with your doctor. It just may save you time, energy and money.
I mentioned a test...
in the top bar. Here are the answers. Not all of them but enough to get you started on something you should research - Adaptogens.
I.I. Brekhman, a noted adaptogen expert, says adaptogens meet the following specific criteria:
1) Non-toxic, safe, does not disturb natural body functions with no negative side effects when taken in proper doses.
2) Normailizng effect on body's physiological systems, stabilizing them and returning them to optimal function, particularly ones strained from internal and external stressors.
3) Protects the body against internal and external trauma, whether caused by mental, physical, biological or chemical means. They act like protective shields against these harmful agents.
Here are 5 great adaptogens: american ginseng, asian (red) ginseng, licorice, rhodiola and schisandra. Your test is to find others and use them if you think they will be beneficial.
Since I can't...

I hate politicians and we have a full year of nothing but them on television. Hell, even Michael Vick and his dog fighting buddies can't provide enough diversion from the pond scum.
