Subscription link: http://www.senior2senior.org/newsletter.html To see if your plant cuttings are growing.. try planting and rooting your plant cuttings in clear plastic drinking cups instead of pots. That way you can see if their roots have developed easily and you won't have to keep disturbing them to check when to re-pot. They're much cheaper than plant pots. If you have cut flowers... that look a bit tired, sometimes a soak in cold water can do wonders. Fill the sink and lay the flowers in it, totally underwater. Cut the ends of the stems on a diagonal, and leave the flowers alone for half an hour or so. Airlines release their distressed inventory for flights for the upcoming weekend by Wednesday. US Airways offers last-minute international fares on Friday morning. Source: 4-02-08 Daytipper NL If you like eggs, your... plants will love eggshell water. It seems eggshells enrich the water with nutrients and the nutrients and your plants have a mutual love fest. It is an easy concoction to make. Fill a jug with water and everytime you crack an egg, put the shells into the jug. The bigger the jug, the more eggshells. Personally, I'd use a quart jar but that's me. scrub the dirt off your vegetables is to wash them while wearing those shower scrubbing gloves. Not the kind you clean your shower with but the kind you clean yourself with in the shower. I wear and use them in place of using a wash cloth when I shower. My wife uses them to clean the dirt off potatoes, radishes, etc. They only cost a dollar at the local dollar store and seem to last forever. Just a thought. A recent study in...
