A car wishing tip...

for people who still wash their cars. Me, I go to the car wash but I'm a lazy sort. Use a lambs wool mit instead of a sponge. The mit lifts dirt off the paint while a sponge holds dirt between itself and your car's paint. You shouldn't have any of those ugly looking swirls using a lambs wool mit either.

I didn't know you...

could check if pants fit without trying them on. It seems all you have to do is take the top part of the pants and put it around your neck. If the two ends touch, the pants will fit your waist. Go figure...

An excellent site with...

many caregivers' resources is at:

A word of caution on genetic tests...

for Alzheimers is at:

They look promising but at this stage of development caution is advised.

The Harvard Health Letter offers...

this advice for those of us with memory blips or, as I call them, senior moments:

Memory training and other “brain exercises” seem to help healthy older people stay sharp. But physical exercise may benefit the brain more than mental gymnastics.

The Social Security Administration (SSA)...

just recently announced that the special economic stimulus payments authorized by Congress in February will not affect the benefits of persons receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Food Stamps, the Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy or other federal benefits.

If you have questions, call your local SSA office. They are listed in the phone book.

Until next issue,
