An easy stomach flattening exercise at work...
You can use your office chair. Simply sit with your two feet flat on the floor and your two hands flat on your chair to support your body. Slowly raise your two feet, knees bent up and down for 20 counts. Repeat same procedure over and over again according to your body's limits. Pretty soon you'll be able to raise the count to 25 then 30 then 40, etc. Remember, the higher you raise your feet the more muscle contraction you'll get in your stomach area.
Give your pet a pill...
by placing the pill as far back in the mouth as possible and hold the muzzle closed and blow on their nose. This will cause them to swallow taking the pill with it. I'm not a vet but one showed us how to administer a pill in this manner when we took our cat in for an ailment.
If you don't have a pet, disregard this last paragraph <lol>.
It is no secret I had open heart surgery...
and it is no secret I have advocated exercising as a means to lose weight. One of my Internet friends, Barbara Ling, lost 45+ pounds and detailed her weight loss program in an ebook she has just written.
She is a straight shooter who pulls no punches when it comes to a topic in which she has an intent interest. Weight loss is one of those topics. Because you are a member of this newsletter she has agreed to give a $10 discount to anyone who decides to buy her book. Clcik on weight loss and discover the secret to honestly and truly losing weight.
You will need this $10 off coupon code: 6B251A405F in order to get the reduced price.
If her program was junk, I wouldn't have said a word. Truth is I have incorporated her free ab exercise into my warm up and cool down routines. If you don't do anything else, visit her information page and grab a copy of the free ab exercise book.
Researchers from Purdue University found...
lemon juice literally makes green tea better for you by helping the tea retain more of its antioxidants through the digestive process.
Normally, only about 20 percent of these antioxidants, called catechins, remain after tea has made its way through the intestines. But when they added lemon juice to the tea, the researchers found that 80 percent of the catechins remained after digestion.
Soluble fiber slows the digestion of food, giving the body time to absorb nutrients. It prolongs the time food stays in the stomach, helping sugar to be released and absorbed more slowly into your system. Insoluble fiber passes through your body largely intact, increasing the speed at which food moves through the stomach and intestines.
Most of the foods people think of as high in fiber, such as whole wheat, bran products, and raw, leafy green vegetables, are actually high in insoluble fiber.
Soluble fiber foods are those more commonly thought of as starches, like oatmeal, barley, rice cereals, corn meal, and potatoes. But soluble fiber is also found in carrots, yams, sweet potatoes, turnips, beets, squash, pumpkins, mushrooms, chestnuts, avocados, bananas, oranges, applesauce, and mangos.
The Internet has given scammers...
some new ways to steal your money. Here are 4 "INGs" they are using:
Phishing - You get an e-mail that appears to be from your bank or an online service, most often PayPal or eBay, instructing you to click on a link and provide information to verify your account.
Pharming or spoofing - Hackers redirect a legitimate Web site's traffic to an impostor site, where you'll be asked to provide confidential information.
Smishing - This is phishing done with text messaging on your smart phone. It instructs you to visit a bogus Web site.
Vishing -- voice phishing - You get an automated phone message asking you to call your bank or credit card company. Even your caller ID is fooled. You call the number and are asked to punch in your account number, PIN or other personal information.
